Plant Pathology department head candidates to present seminars

Plant Pathology department head candidates will present seminars in Little Rock and Fayetteville, beginning Sept. 24.

Candidates include Clayton Hollier, professor of plant pathology at Louisiana State University; Rick Bennett, national program leader with USDA/ARS; and Schuyler Korban, professor of molecular genetics and biotechnology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The seminars will focus on the candidate's previous and current body of work, comments on the overall state of agriculture in Arkansas, and their proposal on what should be done to improve Arkansas agriculture. Candidates will answer questions from the audience.

Seminars are open to the public and will be presented in Little Rock at the State Office in Room 306 and in Fayetteville in AGRI 115, as follows:

Hollier, Little Rock, Sept. 24 at 2:30 p.m. Fayetteville, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m.

Bennett, Little Rock, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. Fayetteville, Sept. 30 at 1:30 p.m.

Korban, Little Rock, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. Fayeteville, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m.
