The Kyung Soo Kim Endowed Graduate Award
The Kyung Soo Kim Graduate Award was established in the Department of Plant Pathology by Dr. Charles S. Kim and Mrs. Sung Boon Kim (the son and wife of Dr. Kyung Soo Kim) in commemoration of Dr. Kim's retirement from the University of Arkansas. The purpose of this award is to provide financial assistance to a Ph.D. or M.S. student, pursuing a degree in plant virology in the Department, and demonstrating dedication to the enhancement of the science and field of plant virology. The award consists of a one-time monetary award and a plaque. The monetary award ($1,000 - $1,500) is intended to further the student's educational and professional development through the purchase of books and/or scientific journal subscriptions, joining scientific societies, travel to professional meetings and conferences, or other similar and appropriate purchases.
